Hole punch / turret tongs, tips for the best result!
A hole punch, also known as a turret, is a super handy tong to make holes in paper, cardboard, plastic, leather, latex, rubber etc. The tubes are made of metal and have a sharp edge.
How do you use a hole punch?
● Place the material in the hole bar
● Optionally a piece of leather on the gold-colored plate to protect the tube
● Press the pliers
● And now turn the tongs back and forth
● Only now does the tongs cut and so a hole comes in
Many users only compress the tongs, but usually nothing or little happens. Only when you start turning, the tongs will cut and a nice hole will appear. Compare it with a normal knife. If you only press a knife on the material but do not pull it back and forth, nothing will happen.
