Glitter latex
You either love them or hate them... glitter!
Glitter gives a super fun effect to latex. The glitters are mixed with the latex so they don't fall out. Glitters are not made of latex so they are not flexible. So we use a certain amount of glitter so that the latex is still nice, high gloss, smooth and stretchy. Because too much glitter affects the stretchability and the latex becomes porous and can therefore tear more easily. We therefore advise against making tight clothing from glitter latex.
Metallic pigments and glitter are expensive pigments and additives, which is why sheets with metallic and glitter are more expensive than 'normal' sheets. Because glitters are 'things', they can also damage the latex from the inside, causing micro holes. The glitters are in air chambers. These holes are not visible to the naked eye. Moisture (sweat, water, condensation) can enter through these holes, resulting in the latex turning white/gray. When the latex is thoroughly dry, the moisture disappears again and the white/gray glow also disappears. It is especially visible in black and dark colors (dark blue, brown, etc.). The color of the sheet determines the end result. So gold glitter with a red background looks different than the same gold glitter on a black background.
